What do we build?
We are pioneering Large Meta Learning Models (LMLMs), a novel type of model that can acquire new skills, take actions, and improve during real-time use. This approach is made possible by integrating memory as a core component of the model architecture.
Unlike traditional models, LMLMs go beyond pre-training comprehension. They have the ability to acquire new skills during inference time, learn continuously and ever improving, directly from feedback from users without the need to create large training datasets.
Why do we build?
We are building the first agent that can reason like a human, on the same interfaces we are used to.
We believe that to truly make agents useful we need to be able to relate. We achieve this by having our agents share the same interface as we do. This allows us to teach our agents the same way we would teach a colleague.
By giving AI the ability to learn from specific feedback and apply it generally, we are crafting assistants that not only execute tasks but also extrapolate to new challenges—just as a person would. This approach opens up endless possibilities for human-AI collaboration, enabling people to focus on more impactful and enjoyable work.
We believe that everyone should be empowered to focus on what they enjoy. This is a core promise of technology. We are focused on making sure that it is kept.

Human-Agent collaboration should work in the same way as human-human collaboration, by having each party focus their strengths. We are ensuring this by allowing users to decide what their agent is best at.
Who is behind Convergence?
Convergence was founded by machine learning scientists Marvin Purtorab and Andy Toulis.
We have assembled a world-class team of machine learning experts and engineers from leading technology companies such as Shopify, Cohere, Uber, Meta, and Google DeepMind.
